    Our favorite Mexican restaurant in Livermore. The chicken mole and the enchiladas Suizas are our favorite items on the menu but we have tried a bunch of different things.
    For Mexican food I am picky and find fault pretty easily. I usually choose carnitas as a test of quality. If they are too dry then I'm done. The carnitas at El Charro have always been amazing! The ceviche is great and the shrimp cocktail is another top item.
    Honestly I can't think of a bad item.
    The service is usually great with a couple outstanding servers with good memories for past visits. Ask for advice on something new and we have never been steered wrong. The chips are always refilled right away and pretty addictive. The family owned atmosphere really helps keep the service top notch.
    They have a good selection of local beers and a full bar. All in all a great place with great food and a great atmosphere.

    The mole' sauce is unreal good.
    Always a treat to take my family here. Great drinks, polite service, and great meals. Thank you for being here in Livermore, I always look forward to El Charro!

    So good! Best happy hour everyday from 3-6 5$ margaritas! I had a delicious burrito and the chips and salsa are the best! Great service too!

    Do not order shrimp fajitas, they use frozen breaded shrimp and then toss in with veggies. Big disappointed . Other dishes looked better. Salsa and chips were good!
